Six Things That Every Bedroom Needs...

Your bedroom is a very personal space. It should be carefully furnished and decorated, no matter what your budget or style is, so it becomes a truly relaxing retreat. And if you are looking for some fresh ideas and pieces that will help you create the most luxurious and personal bedroom ever, then you have come to the right place. The list of items, as well as some tips and tricks mentioned below will help you create the perfect bedroom even in small homes. Have a read, check off the ones that you already have, and mark the ones that you need to accommodate in your upcoming months’ shopping budget.

Bed with Storage – Let’s start with the first piece of furniture that comes to most of our minds when we think of a bedroom. Having space-related constraints does not mean that you can/should not have a beautiful and inviting bed. The secret to furnishing a space-challenged room is to buy furniture that works double duty. So, you should look for a bed that offers storage in the headboard as well as in the base. If you are an avid reader, buy a bed with a bookcase headboard.

Side table – Your bedside table should be a functional space, and not a showpiece display stand. That being said, you cannot avoid the design aspect of it. Buy something simple and classy that isn’t easily dated. Populate it with items that you usually need for pre-, and post- sleeping comfort, sometimes even for interrupted-sleep comfort.

Wardrobes/Collapsible closets – If your wardrobes are just too small to accommodate all your belongings, then consider adding collapsible closets that will maximise storage, or closet walls that will add space and a sleek look to your bedroom.

Dresser/Chest of Drawers- A moderately sized chest of drawers can be used to store some everyday/seasonal clothing, jewellery or even your makeup products. Place a mirror on top, and double it up as a dresser.

Seating (that is not bed)- This piece of furniture, when carefully chosen, can make a room feel cozy and inviting to no extent. Place a chair at a reasonable distance from the chest of drawers and the bed, preferably close to the window, so you can relax, read a book, and enjoy a hot cup of coffee in peace.

Comfortable Rug – Place a small rug by the bed, so you don’t have to ruin your happy mornings by stepping out on a cold floor.

Buying Bedroom Furniture Online

If you already have all the aforementioned pieces of furniture, then all you need to do is concentrate on their proper placement for effective utilisation of space. If not, then all you need to do is login to an online portal that sells furniture, and browse through its product catalogue. You will find so many options from a variety of brands to choose from. Shop online from the comfort of your home and get your orders delivered to your doorstep.
